New save method
So, as I was doing these comics, I was unhappy with the quality I lost when saving. It seems dropping to an 8bit (gif) pallet is one of the things GIMP doesn't do well. Now don't get me wrong, I've grown to really like GIMP. It's what I use to do all my comics, but, it does have some limitations. It doesn't reduce images well, I already knew about this, and I've been using paint.net to reduce my images once I'm done creating them in GIMP. It also doesn't reduce the pallet very well, so, I've come up with a new set of steps for saving.

My old method was:
1.) Copy the template
2.) Edit the copied template, creating the comic (in GIMP)
3.) Save the comic in it's original xcf (GIMP) format
4.) Save the comic as a gif (in GIMP)
5.) Open the comic in paint.net
6.) Reduce the image size (in paint.net)
7.) Re-save the gif (in paint.net)
8.) Upload the comic

My new method is:
1.) Copy the template
2.) Edit the copied template, creating the comic (in GIMP)
3.) Save the comic in it's original xcf (GIMP) format
4.) Save the comic as a 16 bit transparent png (in GIMP)
5.) Open the comic in paint.net
6.) Reduce the image size (in paint.net)
7.) Save the comic as a gif (in paint.net)
8.) Upload the comic

In my opinion, the difference in quality is noticeable, so I went back and reconverted all the Halloween comics. If you want to see the differences, you can see them here.
