Well, I'll give blizzard this, they're very good at making money. They do things like limit the game so you'll later pay to get "additional races", more character slots, more item slots, etc. It's really kind of annoying, an I might not buy another Blizzard game until they go back to being good. Below is a quick pros and cons of Diablo 3. I might go on a longer rant later, but well see. Something to take into account is that I am still occasionally playing it, I mean, I paid for a collectors eddition, so I feel kind of dumb just dropping it. I really do miss the rpg aspects, since now basicaly a level twenty wizard is identical to every other level twenty wizard, so there's nothing of the player in their characters. That kind of leaves me sad.

Cons:
  • No choices in your character stats.
  • No choices when leveling up, so every level twenty wizard is idential.
  • Gold shared between all your characters.
  • You town stash box has fourteen slots (approx seven items) shared between every character you have, so less than one item per possible character.
  • Limited number of characters (nine max).
  • Check point saving.
  • If there's a network hiccup, you lose all progress (this happend to me once so far, I lost a bunch of items I had picked up and all progress in a dungeon).
  • Experiencing MMO lag (doesn't register attacks, hops you back several steps) in solo play, and when only playing with one other person.
  • Mostly un randomized dungeons, or so it seems.
  • Way, way, waaaaay too easy.

Pros:
  • Pretty graphics.
  • Fun story.
  • Fun lore popups.
  • Addictive dungeon crawling.
