Comic dialog
Simple as a sugar syrup, and just the way I like it.
Panel 1
Jacob: So, let's see.. We start at this page with a value of ten.
Panel 2
Jacob: It then redirects here, changing the value to the word ten.
Panel 3
Jacob: Then it redirects again, and again , and again, and again, and what is this, the tenth redirect and sixth value change, and again, and again. Noooooooo!!!! When will it all end?!?
Panel 4
Jacob: Oh look. I'm back at the start page, and my value... 'Pinky purple aphid count' *sigh*

And then there were more steps Yeah, when debugging old code that's kind of like this comic. You can only kind of blame it, after all it got added onto for years with out anyone ever really looking at it and asking, "should I really add on to thie half meg source file?" or "does this method really belong here?" or "do I really need to hit six servlets to get from point A to point B?"
Completely unrelated, one thing I've noticed while drawing today's comic is that it's all about confidence. Monday's comic, I really liked the inks I did on it, but I had been drawing for hours before I even started the comic, so I confidently put down lines. This lead to a change in weight in the lines that looked natural. Tonight as I started on the comic, I was putting down the lines slow and carefully, but it was lacking a certain something. Perhaps lacking cow bell. I then started making the lines faster, less concerned about if they were perfect, since I could always change them, and it started coming out a lot nicer. I also came to the conclusion that I might have to change Jacob's hair some day, now that I'm playing with line weights, his hair doesn't really allow me to play with that, so I might change it for fun.
Also, I've started watching HBO's "Game of Thrones". I've only seen two episodes, and the shots are really well done, the acting is good, but after reading the books, I miss the massive amounts that were cut. Also the actors/actresses they chose looked nothing like what I imagined for them. I can't fault them for that, I'm guessing no one could've choosen ones that matched the images in my mind since my mind is a closed lock box. It is entertaining so far, and probably really good for those who haven't read the books. And it is ok/good for those that have read the books.
